    FUJIFILM USA Create With Me Campaign

    Brand ambassadors and influencers are an important part of the marketing mix, so companies look to leverage them in exciting and memorable ways. In the US, Fujifilm’s group of Creators and X-Photographers are key figures in an active creative community. There was an obvious opportunity to use their reach, bringing more people into contact with the brand.

     

    BRIGHT developed Create With Me as, in its simplest form, a photographic competition. Using all our departments, we designed, built and populated a bespoke WordPress site, then managed the sizeable delivery of content from varied sources.

    We were tasked with finding a way of amplifying the Fujifilm brand by using its extensive community of ambassadors and influencers to inspire creativity within its audience of engaged image makers.

    Actions

    We invented a year-long campaign that would continue to build interest far beyond a stand-alone competition. Each month, we guided two ambassadors through a self-filmed video. Each needed to meet a clear set of targets, designed to encourage viewers to participate, while maintaining a brand style guide and consistency month to month.

    Final videos were accompanied by written content, newsletters and social media posts, and housed within a beautifully designed landing page. Users were able to submit their competition images on the site, which were also managed in-house with involvement from the adjudicating ambassadors themselves.

    Following the selection of each month’s winners, these image makers were contacted for comment and subsequently published on the Create With Me platform. Given the ongoing timeline, the continual delivery of pivotal content had to be managed with great care and attention.

    Outcome

    The competition was lauded by Fujifilm’s creative community and received thousands of entries. In the time since, the core values of the campaign have evolved into a series of large-scale live events, branded as Create With Us, in which ambassadors deliver in-person guidance and consumers can get hands-on with Fujifilm’s latest products. Our client was effusive about the innovative spin on a simple idea and praised our content management throughout.
