What we did
We began by pitching a simple landing page and email design, which quickly developed into a complete website redesign. Within this, we first designed a new logo that could act as the foundation for a cohesive visual identity.
The whole website was custom designed, creating a simple user journey across the brand. A new sitemap was developed to optimise SEO, marketing and content flow, ensuring every page served a purpose. Meanwhile, the homepage was designed to include highlighted photographers, the latest updates and prominent calls-to-action that guided users towards subscriptions.
With designs underway, we could quickly build a website using a headless CMS with WordPress in the backend and a Next.js/React frontend. New features of the site included Stripe-powered membership subscriptions, Flodesk integration for email marketing and a content moderation system for members submitting their online profiles. Alongside these improvements, the development team also enabled users to easily manage their accounts, supporting 63 active members.
Building on the platform’s core functionality, we integrated WooCommerce ticketing to make event management simple, facilitating over 120 event bookings since launch. The blog section was also added to share updates and keep the community engaged, with 19 posts published so far. These features have been integral in creating a dynamic hub that brings the website to life.

Outcome
The response to the new website has been brilliant, with members already connecting to new opportunities and gaining exposure through the platform. As always, this marks just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for UKBFTOG, with plenty more achievements ahead.
